Location: Guisborough
Job Description:
The job will entail the preparation of Site Configuration data for variable message signs and for the Traffic Monitoring equipment to be installed around England.
The candidate will be involved with the end to end testing of the Variable Message signs at Police Control Offices around the country.
It will also involve assisting the roadside engineers to commission and test the Traffic Monitoring roadside installations initially working from the Guisborough site (Though it may be possible to work remotely from Guisborough during this latter phase).
Experience:
The job will require
1 Someone with an ability to work accurately and methodically in preparing the data.
2 An interest in, and Knowledge of hardware and software
3 A possible background in Installation and commissioning
4 A rigorous and methodical approach to testing.
Essential Skills:
Flexibility
Good Communication skills
Good PC skills
An appreciation of the roadside environment in respect of commissioning.
The ability to resolve problems quickly as they occur.
Desirable Skills:
Actual experience of Installation and Commissioning
Experience in hardware or software design
Essential Attitudes:
Determination to complete the work.
Flexibility.
Able to work as part of a team.
