Our Client based in Saltaire are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager.
The role of the Continuous Improvement Manager is to work with the selected CEM and examine all their process and procedures working for a quantified improvement against set KPI,s
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Set the group strategy for working with the CEM on process, procedure and manufacturing improvements.
To work with both the CEM and internal department to introduce 6 Sigma quality systems within an agreed time scale.
To provide senior level management reporting on agreed KPI,s and improvement related sections of the CEM contract
Ensure best practice is applied in all related areas.
Ensure materials management methods and procedures are adhered to and developed
Ensure management information is available to guide the business.
Proactively interface with technical operations, planning, designee, materials, QA marketing /commercial and production through the CEM to ensure department maintains supply chain with internal clients external CEM’s. Advises / consults with internal customers / business units about product, service applications, standards, specifications, forecasting, client approval and acceptance.
Ensure Key supplier partnerships are established and maintained.

RELATIONSHIPS
To develop an effective interface across the whole company to include all outsouces functions. Consulting across the group as subject matter expert on all areas of managing and development of the CEM and suppliers
EDUCATION / SKILLS
Proficiency in core skills such as contracting, economics, business law and accounting. A technical aptitude either via formal training or through work experience.
Professional certificates in purchasing and contracting from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply ( CIPS) or similar professional organisation or institution.
Experienced contract negotiator with an ability to communicate at a senior level both internal and externally to the company.
Significant experience in souring overseas particularly in high technology products.
Experience of new product introduction and development as well as interface to third part manufacturing.
Experience of implementing system changes to support material processes
Ideally a facilitator commercially minded, able to contribute to business needs through affective negotiations and foresight and knowing when to listen and influence.
Ideally with at least five years significant experience in a complex telecommunication, utilities, high-tech electronics manufacturer, or complex construction and maintenance industry.
