Our Client based in Leicestershire have a new position available for a Draughting Engineer to join the Test and Measurement Department.
This role requires someone with a broad appreciation and design of electrical/ mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems using AutoCad and Microsoft Office. Hands-on experience of mechanical assembly and electronic systems is also essential.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Assisting in the development and co-ordination of design packs for test systems. A pack would normally contain pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical drawings with parts lists, wiring schedules and digital photographs. The aim of the pack would be to enable a third party to purchase and assemble a complete system.
To produce instructions detailing the operation and procedures for the use and maintenance of test systems developed by the department. This includes identifying and introducing methods and procedures for work within a production environment.
To assist in performing and documenting risk assessments on equipment and processes introduced by the department.
The individual will ideally have the following background/experience:
Applicants will ideally have an HNC or above in a related science/ engineering subject or relevant experience in a draughting and documentation role.
The successful applicant must be able to work on their own with a good level of initiative and attention to detail.
