Based in Leicestershire working within a small team of Engineers/Technicians, our client require a high calibre 'hands-on' Engineer to design, assemble and build Electro/Mechanical Test equipment.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Developing mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical test systems for use in the production environment
Planning and controlling the phases of design, parts procurement, assembly, and commissioning
Working with development engineers during the design and implementation phase and of new products which includes providing feedback into project plans and committing to time scales
Organising the operations of sub-contractors and overseeing technician staff
The individual will ideally have the following background/experience:
Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree in a related Engineering/science subject
Experience in CAD with a practical knowledge of materials and machining techniques
A working knowledge of instrumentation and measurement techniques
An appreciation of pneumatic system components (pipe, fittings, valves, gauges, intensifiers etc)
The ability 'to get your hands dirty' and participate in system construction at a fundamental level
Operate independently or as part of the team, communicate confidently both internally within the department as well as externally
