At this games company based in Nottingham, senior and lead designers take responsibility for large parts of the project’s they work on and are instrumental in setting standards for design and project organisation. They also help mentor new staff. The studio’s lead designers are drawn from the pool of senior designers and should display good man management skills. Required: Extensive game designer experience (>2 yrs) Has worked on 2 or more completed and published projects Can and has worked on existing game designs Has worked as part of a team (>2 designers) Skilled at providing estimates for own work Games design experience (includes non-computer games if transferring from another industry) Proactive Communicative Responsible Able to work to tight deadlines Excellent written skills Desired: Good Degree (2:1 or >) Good A level results (3 x C or >) Previous team management experience (>2 designers) Worked in a multi disciplinary team (e.g. team including artists, designers, etc) Games industry experience Has worked on original games Development environment experience e.g. VSS As well as these requirements special attention will be given to candidates who have: Worked on high pressure projects Online games experience Knowledge of the Warhammer tabletop games
