Our client based in Hemel Hempstead are urgently looking for a Mechanical Engineer. (Either contract or permanent)
Responsibilities/Duties
The mechanical design and analysis of generators or hydraulic systems utilising SDRC Ideas
Operating within a PIM project team environment, to be responsible for the product from design through manufacture to qualification
Maintaining a comprehensive database of product design and performance
Selecting and technically controlling suppliers
Providing technical expertise to project teams and other functional groups within the company
Monitoring 'State of the Art' technology through liaison with outside bodies, seminars and conferences.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified to Degree level with at least 5 years experience in a motor/generator environment, ideally Aerospace
MUST HAVE ROTATING MACHINERY EXPERIENCE
Must have good technical background in all aspects of motor generator design - or hydraulic systems - including fundamental theory and be familiar with manufacturing techniques
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels
Must be able to work on own initiative
Must be proactive, assertive, responsive, decisive and confident
