Our Client based in Nottinghamshire are looking for a Test / Training Engineer with a telecoms background. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE To provide Technical support in PCN/Microwave/BTS across the Business Unit. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management of test equipment inventory ensuring that equipment and accessories are serviceable and in calibration. Monitoring of test methods and results to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Provide on call technical support to deal with operational difficulties encountered during use of test equipment. Provision of training in the operation of test equipment for installation teams. Review of client test specifications and advise management on actions regarding equipment and training. SKILLS PROFILE: Qualified to HNC/D in Electrical discipline Ability to prepare and deliver training in the use of equipment and assist field teams with queries or problems relating to the use of the equipment. (essential) Full understanding of feeder and antenna testing and fault location, particularly in the areas of Return Loss/VSWR (essential) Understanding of the requirement for calibration of test equipment. (essential) Understand the requirements of testing to specification and ability to develop specifications as required (essential) Working knowledge of CSM & Testing of PCN /BTS / Transmission would be advantageous Operation of various types of RF testing equipment. (essential)
