DEVICE PHYSICIST/PRODUCT ENGINEER Job Ref - 930
Due to the expansion of our clients Cleanroom facilities and the introduction of new designs they have a vacancy for a Device Physicist/Product Engineer involving the development, test and characterisation of silicon pressure sensors.
They operate a fully equipped silicon processing facility producing silicon micro-machined pressure sensors based on a 4mm Bipolar process.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
The position involves working with Transducer Design Engineers, Silicon Process Engineers and the manufacturing function to optimise existing, new and future products in terms of both performance, yield and design.

The individual will ideally have the following background/experience:
Experience in pressure sensors is not expected, but an appreciation of general wafer processing is required. Candidates need to be degree qualified or have an equivalent combination of experience and qualifications, ideally with 2 to 3 years of semiconductor industry experience.
This hands-on role will involve investigation and analysis of performance using a variety of equipment, including wafer probers, packaged die testing and specialised pressure test equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel together with a high level software language such as BASIC PASCAL or C is advantageous.
