Our Client based in Swindon are looking for an Analogue Test Engineer.
Working within the High Performance Analogue unit the candidate will develop production ATE test solutions for newly designed High Performance Analogue IC products.
Ensuring that such products are suitably characterised and qualified to appropriate Zarlink and/or customer specific specifications.
Give guidance on test strategies/testability for new projects. Forecast, measure and analyse yields and test rates. Design and build bench characterisation hardware and software. Complete device characterisation and correlate results with ATE. Identify new mythologises and equipment requirements. Design, verification and debug of ATE hardware and software. Creation of production documentation and engineering reports. Support product engineering in yield/rate studies and possible offshore transfer of products. Ensure that all activities are carried out in a way that minimises the projects Time To Market.
Qualifications
HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering
Capable of working with minimal supervision. Ability to focus on tasks to achieve required timescales. Good all round electronic engineering skills. Experience with analogue test techniques. Ideally experience with Teradyne high speed analogue ATE such as A530 family or similar LTX machines. Good organisational and inter-personnel skills Experience in the generation of hardware and software solutions for ATE test and product characterisation would be preferable. Familiarity with statistical process control analysis and mythology would be an advantage. Ability to communicate effectively with all area of the business, from marketing/sales to operations staff. Flexible attitude to working hours and an acceptance of limited travelling.
