Our Client based in High Wycombe are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to work alongside software engineers in the product development team, the successful applicant will be directly involved in product specification and design and will be responsible for the complete design cycle on each product under their control.
This will include significant input to the initial design specification, estimation of timescales and costs, control of sub-contractors for PCB routing and build where necessary, design proving and debugging, and manufacturing support. This is a demanding role which requires an innovative and self motivated engineer.
The candidate should have at least 2 years post graduate industrial experience and be familiar with high speed (>100Mhz) digital logic design. The candidate must have a willingness to learn and a "can do" attitude. Also of benefit would be experience in any of the following areas: PCI/VME bus design, Xilinx and Altera CPLD and FPGA VHDL design, Synplicity synthesis tools, Analog devices SHARC DSP design, PowerPC design, voltage regulation. Also any experience with thermal management design, or analogue design would be an advantage.
This position will be based at High Wycombe in the United Kingdom and will offer a competitive salary relevant to the experience of the successful candidate.
