Our Client based in Hemel Hempstead (soon to be moving to Buckinghamshire) are looking to recruit a Senior/Configuration Engineer.
Role:
The Senior/Configuration Engineer will be located in a multi-disciplined project teams within the Engineering Design Office.
Principle Accountabilities:
Creation of engineering drawings and associated documentation to meet the requirements of the Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly methodologies
To analyse design requirements, support checking activities and carry out complex tolerance studies to ensure the integrity of the detail drawings comply with the design intent
To assume the responsibility for technical issues covering detail design activities
To attend meetings and interface with all members of the team
To support all CAD activities where necessary
To supervise and co-ordinate a team of Detail Designers as required, with responsibility for meeting all detail design project time scales
To support conceptual design in producing CAD generated models
To support Engineering change request
Personal Characteristics:
ONC/HNC plus 3-5 years experience in a n engineering detail design/drawing office environment
Fully conversant with engineering drawing practices (e.g. BS308) and ISO 9000 configuration control procedures, plus CAD detail, design practices and techniques
Good working knowledge of CAD,SDRC Ideas would be ideal
Excellent technical and analytical skills in engineering detail design environment
