Engineering company based in Essex are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
To understand the application needs of customers. Project Manage and Design automated solutions to given specification ensuring time and financial constraints are adhered to.
Qualifications:
Essential: Apprentice Trained. HNC/D (Minimum)
Desirable: Degree. Mechanical Engineering
Job Description:
Design for manufacture of special purpose machinery
Jigs and fixtures for vehicle assembly / inspection
Tooling / system design
To undertake feasibility studies
To produce mechanical designs and detail drawings
Liaise with customer for design approval
Attend FMEA meetings
To work to in-house quality standards
Day to day problem solving with design issues
Skills & Experience:
Automotive OEM & Tier 1 project portfolio
Manufacturing Engineering background
CAD literacy
2D & 3D design ability
Special Features:
Travel to meet customers (Full Driving Licence & Passport essential)
Travel to visit installations (Worldwide)
