Our Client based in Reading are looking for a DSP Engineer to support and further develop DSP software for core platform development.
Main duties include:
Support of existing DSP software for platform development.
Develop and integrate radio drivers for new HW platform configurations.
Support integration of other GPRS software components by other groups.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for configuration management and delivery of DSP software builds into platform developments plus reporting progress to the projects.
Responsible of integration and validation of DSP software for DSP Mask release.
Responsible for improvement of Software Process and Quality within DSP group.
Responsible for coaching and mentoring of less experienced staff within group.
Attributes required
Essential
At least 3 years experience of developing real-time embedded software written in C and/or assembler.
At least 2 years experience developing real-time embedded signal processing algorithms.
At least 2 years experience of developing radio control systems
Experience of using integration tools (emulators, logic analysers, test equipment).
Desirable
At least 1 year experience of GSM
Experience of developing software for Lucent DSPs.
Experience of developing software to QA standards.
A practical understanding of hardware and RF
Matlab and/or COSSAP environment experience.
Qualifications
Essential
Honours degree in Communications, Electronics, Physics, Computing or Maths (or numerate degree)
Desirable
MIEE/AMIEE or equivalent in BCS, IOP etc.
M.Eng./MSc/PhD/DSc in a related discipline.
