Our Client based in Oxfordshire are looking for an Electrical Design Team Leader with a proven track record of electrical design with a demonstrated ability to design switch mode power supplies with a power rating >1kw The company leads the world in the development and production of MRI magnets, providing its customers with the magnet technology needed to increase their market share and enjoy long-term success. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Strong team leading experience over a period of 2 years Minimum HND qualification – Electrical/Electronics Engineering Proven track record of electrical design with a demonstrated ability to design switch mode power supplies with a power rating >1kw Experience with design tools like: Visio, Symmetrics and Flowmetrics Good people/communication skills Primary Purpose: To achieve objectives through effective use of team capability. To set the standards for quality of work within the team, and create the environment for continuous improvement. To implement innovative product, process or technology solutions through project planning and leadership. To support existing products and processes KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sets and maintains the standards of performance expected from the Team Define the required standard of the Team’s deliverables Maintain Team’s deliverables to the required standard Develops the direction of the Team/ Group in line with Department and Company strategy Manage delivery of elements of the technology roadmap appropriate to team Manage development of appropriate elements of the technology roadmap in line with business strategy Manages the resources of the Team/ Group Plan and monitor workload Application of appropriate skills Develops the Team/ Group and individuals Skills development Individual coaching Manages internal and external relationships Actively collaborate across Departments Maintain internal interfaces Maintain external relationships Continuously improve business processes Coach and mentor the group and wider company community to operate and improve business processes Process mapping
