The site produces a wide range of products and executes extensive toll manufacturing services for the mahor players in the industry. This opportunity has arisen during a total review of the maintenance and engineering strategy for the business.
The person appointed will be the principle electrical engineer and will ensure that all electrical activities carried out on both sites are in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. The candidate will have technical responsibility for maintenance, installation, design, inspection and records of electrical equipment. He or she will also be responsible for the training and development of the Electrical / Instrument Technicians.
Experience of electrical systems maintenance within the Chemical Industry including, knowledge of HV, LV, Hazardous area equipment and utilities are essential for the role. It is desirable that the person appointed has Instrumentation experience coupled with excellent planning, organisational skills and experience of managing sub-contractors and maintenance technicians. Knowledge of current electrical regulations is also essential.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate their interest and capability for continuous improvement, coupled with the highest professional standards.
You will have a degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years post graduate experience. You must be a team player, be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a high level of technical competence. |
