An exciting vacancy currently exists for the position of Higher Senior Engineer.
Main responsibilities for this role will be: Designing high power modules/boards for internal and external customer needs. High power PA module/board design for wireless applications from 800MHz to 3500MHz. PA MMIC/module design for microwave applications upto 18GHz. Understand the system and the customer requirements and translate the needs to electrical specifications. Generate cost-effective, reliable designs for mass production. Ensuring their activities comply with all applicable Health and Safety Legislation, policies and procedures. Any other reasonable duties as directed by a member of management
The candidate will have an MSc in Electronics, or an equivalent qualification and will be able to satisfy the following requirements: Minimum 8 years experience of: RF and Microwave PA design. RF and Microwave filter and matching network design. Multi-function module/system design upto 18GHz. Analytical thinking and excellent mathematical skills. Ability to link/transfer mathematical solutions to simulation environment, use of CAD tools such as Microwave Office, AutoCad etc. Able to setup and use industry standard measurement equipments. Team Player who is open to technical discussions. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Self motivated. Ability to lead and supervise a small design team. Ability to liaise with internal and external customers, and to understand their needs and generate cost-effective solutions. The ability to travel in order to visit various customers and other Filtronic sites worldwide. Ability to work outside normal working hours.
