To analyse, design, develop & support pre-live and live solutions as detailed in requirement specifications or terms of reference documents provided by appropriate members of the team.
Primary responsibilities and activities: Produce detailed Technical Designs of client requirements as scoped by other members of Solutions team (Consultants). Develop specified client and internal applications according to supplied TORs and deadlines. Recognise and report revenue opportunities generated by changes to requirements. Fully unit/system test the applications developed including capacity and tolerance (error) planning. Enable client sign-off of developments by being careful and accurate. Work within the appropriate legal framework, company rules and guidelines. Adhere to and enhance departmental procedural documentation & development standards. Provide consistent and accurate handovers to the Implementation team. Support the UAT process as required. Provide expert application knowledge to aid the live support team. Provide accurate & realistic estimates. Participate in Post Implementation reviews for larger pieces of work. Aid in the dissemination & sharing of knowledge across the Solutions team by taking part in training workshops. Work with Consultants and project managers during project lifecycle. Support the Sales team and consultants in pre-sales activity. Work with service management to ensure a consistent and central approach to client service. Work with production implementation to ensure it receives a manageable workload. Identify opportunities in current working practice to enhance or rationalise the efficiency of the team and software methods. Manage and report individual time effectively using the required time sheeting system

Skill Requirements: Familiar with PC/mainframe environment. Good communication skills, internally and externally. Awareness of legal and company guidelines and rules. Self-motivated. Investigative and able to learn new techniques. Willingness to adapt. Problem owning & solving attitude. Awareness of Project management & client interfaces. Attention to detail and accuracy
Technical: Core skills must be in document composition skills. Experienced in Pres. With skills in VB or C#.
