My client offers security products direct to installation companies with quality and reliability that are second to none. Products include control panels, sounders, detectors, etc. At present they have an exciting opportunity for a Engineer with some relevant manufacturing experience to work in a small Engineering department. Ideally you will have experience in either Quality and/or Production Engineering and live within 25 miles of Middleton, Manchester. Duties include (previous exp beneficial)
Control and up-issuing of all Production files inc. documentation, drawings, schematics, software etc. Checking of, and Input of R&D parts lists. BOM Construction inc. Part Number issue and control. ECO and MRB issue, control and implementation. Method sheet & Packaging specifications, construction issue and control. Project management for introduction of new products. Liaison with various Sub-Contractors. Product conversion/badging and special customer project work. Organising and recording of all key stage design/manufacture meetings (SDR`s PRR`s etc.). General Office and Warehouse maintenance and problem solving. Label programming and file maintenance.
Quality and Customer Complaints include: Organise and oversee twice yearly ISO 9001-2000 audits. Occasional Goods Inspection (samples, ECO compliance, first off units inspection, sales requests etc.). Quality complaints, liaison, initiation and control of documentation with sub-contractor, investigate/monitor complaints from regular sales requests. Customer complaints, liaison with senior sales personnel, investigate/monitor complaints detailed in internal feedback forms, report to bi-weekly progress meetings. Standards Specification issue and control. Calibration of test equipment and instruments, organise update and control all equipment to ISO 9001-2000. Certificate of Conformance issue and control.
