Senior Electrical Engineer
To provide electrical and electronic design support under instruction of the Lead Engineer.
Essential Functions:
Provide electrical and electronic design on all projects as required.
Timely and budget conscious design.
Design of analogue and digital circuits. PCB design.
Design and specification of electrical wiring systems for subsea systems and surface support equipment.
Prepare Design Specifications.
Perform lead electrical and electronic engineering function on major projects, and supervise other engineers and draughtsmen.
Liase with other disciplines, mechanical, hydraulic, software etc.
Provide support to Sales and Marketing. Assist in the preparation of costings and proposals.
Design of power distribution systems, dc single and three phase ac.
Provide production support during build, testing and commissioning.
Assist in the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.
Provide customer support and training.
Other activities as directed by the Lead Engineer which may include off-site work.
Educational Background:
Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related/equivalent subject. HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with job experience.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in a design environment.
Specific Skills
Flexibility, adaptability and professionalism. Safety conscious. Attentive to ISO 9001 QA systems.
