My client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of laboratory products, including reusable and disposable labware in glass and plastics and benchtop scientific equipment. They are a successful and profitable company with an annual turnover of £65 million and they employ over 900 people.
This opportunity has arisen in their head office in Stone, Staffordshire for a knowledgeable and experienced Electronic Design Engineer to fulfil a permanent role within the Development Department.
Duties include the design and development of bespoke hardware platforms for new instruments, supporting existing designs and taking a major role in in-depth system testing (inc application software)
The successful candidate must be able to assume responsibility for existing and future design:- to this end, they must possess a significant amount of demonstrable relevant electronics design experience, having been involved in the full product design lifecycle.
Should be experienced in: Digital and Analogue design. Microcontroller integration (PICs, Hitachi H8), CPLD/FPGA Design.
Desirable experience includes: Knowledge of product standard requirements (EMC, LVD, etc), knowledge of Thermal Control Electronics, Experience of Stepper Motor Control, Project Management Skills, An instrumentation design and manufacturing environment. |
