JOB PURPOSE:
TO MANAGE CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS, PROVIDING PROJECT PLANS, PROGRESS REPORTS AGAINST ORDERS AND RESPONDING TO REQUESTS FOR QUOTATIONS.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To interface with the customer on new or existing business.
2. To measure, and improve, on-time delivery in full to customers.
3. To provide project and production plans with delivery dates to customers.
4. To progress work and set priorities for production areas.
5. To assist in solving any problems encountered by Production, on behalf of the customer.
6. To hold contract reviews for any new business, or for orders requesting infrequently supplied products, significant volumes or jobs of high complexity.
7. To ensure all orders and forecasts are accurately and promptly processed.
8. To gather information to enable quotations to be given in a timely manner.
9. To train, develop and manage Supply Chain Assistants.
ESSENTIAL:
The successful applicant must:
Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Be a good problem solver, with an analytical approach.
Possess project management skills
Be persuasive and influential,
Possess good business acumen and be commercially aware.
Have at least 5 years' experience in a relevant industry.
Be qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Be computer literate in most Microsoft packages.
Demonstrate self-confidence with a determination to achieve targets whilst working under pressure.
Have the energy and ambition to succeed.
DESIRABLE:
Qualified in an Engineering discipline to degree level.
A background in manufacturing.
Previous customer liaison experience. |
