This opportunity is for a developer to join a development team working on a world leading 3D design and manufacturing package. Creative thinking will be encouraged, as the development team is relatively small, and you will be involved in a broad range of development topics from toolpath strategies to up-to-date 3D rendering techniques. In addition, you should be a good communicator and will be expected to deal directly with sales partners and customers.
The company develop a range of CAD/CAM software products that form our Power Solution product series. This includes the specialist ArtCAM range, which is tailored towards the artistic and creative designer working in a manufacturing environment.
ArtCAM is written in C++/VC++ and also uses Javascript, OpenGL and MFC extensively. We will be looking for candidates with either a first or upper second numerate degree, ideally in Mathematics,
Engineering or Computer Science; with additionally strong A-level grades especially in Mathematics. C++ programming experience is essential and a portfolio of sample projects or programs would be advantageous.
You should be self-motivated and able to work in a team, but with a low-level of supervision.
This position may be filled at any level, from graduate to experienced developer.
