structural engineer Leeds
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our office in Leeds. The right candidate should possess skills such as good communication, personal effectiveness, lateral thinking and team working so as to be able to interface effectively with both internal and external clients.
The duties for this role will include:
· Providing detailed and professional designs for civil engineering and structural engineering projects
· Providing options analysis
· Costings
· Assisting in monitoring project costs
· Providing project management on specific schemes
· Supervising CAD technicians and providing assistance to Senior Engineers
As a minimum requirement applicants must possess a 2.1 B.Eng (Hons) in Civil or Structural engineering and have a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience. Ideally candidates will also have:
· Experience in the use of structural design packages
· Experience in the use of reinforced concrete detailing packages
· The ability to use AutoCAD 2002, Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications
· Experience in the design of concrete structures to BS5400, BS8007 AND BS8110 standards
· Fundamental knowledge of soil mechanics and structural steelwork design
