Degree qualified or equivalent. Can take responsibility for all aspects of design, from constructing the spec through to releasing finished product to the agreed timescale. Experience of both analogue and digital electronics design. Experience with a range of design tools, including schematic capture, PCB layout and PLD design s'ware. Knowledge of an ISO9001 accredited development environment.
Ability to learn quickly and independently followed by implementation. Ability to convert technical knowledge and skills into practical application.
Prioritises well; overcomes obstacles and takes appropriate risks; keeps moving towards goals. Uses a variety of resources effectively. Can work well in a diverse group. Uses logic and intuition to get best solutions. Involves and informs others in a timely way; accordingly shares the whole picture.
Familiar with the multi-faceted role. Experience of x86 microprocessor design including. PCB layout experience. Design simulation tools. Protel. Able to go beyond accepted ideas and translates new ideas into workable solutions.
