To provide Quantity Surveying services and to ensure that all contractual and financial entitlements are fulfilled.
Functions:
A good knowledge of Contractual and Measurement matters.
Supervision of quantity surveying staff as required.
Assistance in commercial management of contracts and the profitability of contracts.
Assistance in production also subsequent agreement of final accounts and additional cost claims.
Advise and assistance with sub-contract management.
Negotiations with Purchaser/Engineer.
Co-ordination to ensure all applications for payment are made on time and to a maximum value.
Ensuring that income from application is received on time.
Co-ordination to ensure all contractual requirements are complied with including notices of claim, preparation of Extension of Time submissions etc.
Advise to all staff on contractual matters, including assisting in production of sub-contract documents and negotiations etc.
Preparation of claims in liaison with the Commercial Manager and to ensure they are submitted on time to maximum value.
Liaison and co-ordination to ensure financial reporting is timely and accurate.
Preparation of Bills of Quantities, budgets, take-offs.
Communication with and feedback to other Departments.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge/Experience
Building/Civil Engineering background with appreciation of M&E contacts. At least 10 years experience.
Education/Qualifications:
Member of (or be studying towards) an appropriate recognised professional institution. Educated to Btech – Higher level (preferably degree level in Quantity Surveying) |
