My client is a software company that specialises in using new technologies to web-enable cutting edge finance & lending applications. They have recently launched a range of front end quoting systems and back end application processing systems that lead the field in the UK motor finance sector.
They have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join their team. Your role would involve developing new features on existing applications, implementing existing applications for new clients and creating new products for our existing sector and beyond. You will be jointly responsible in a small team of developers for delivering these applications to tight deadlines and to the highest quality.
Commercial experience of an Object Oriented Programming language is essential for this role. Experience of C++ or C# or Java is required (preferably Java). Experience of SQL 2000 or other RDBMS is a distinct advantage. Experience of web technologies including HTML, DHTML, XML, etc is advantageous. They are looking for a candidate with a strong IT based degree, either a 2:1 or 1st.
All members of the team have a say in the direction and strategies taken when implementing projects or solutions so the role requires someone that has, and is not afraid to express opinions. Our team works hard to provide the very best software, because of this we require a dedicated, hard working individual that can work to the very highest standards.
Attitude is important as we need someone with a bit of get up and go as we require our developers to get involved in the design of the applications as well as interacting with the clients.
Salary will depend on experience (18k to 25k). Based Staffordshire/Cheshire. |
