My client have an exciting vacancy for a framework Buyer to ensure that, through effective management and development that the Company has a leading edge Procurement Function that will provide Goods, Materials and Services On Time, Within Budget and to the required Specifications / Quality.
You are required to have up to date knowledge of the current Procurement laws as laid down in the E. U. Legislation. Develop and maintain a Purchasing strategy that will assist the Company in maintaining a profitable business within the Framework. Interface with the Client, Major Suppliers, members of the Framework , the Integrated Procurement Team (IProcT) and the Heywood procurement team and systems. To interface with the Q.A. department with regards to all Quality related requirements and maintain the Companies Q.A. Data with regards to all Suppliers & Sub-Contractors
You will have at least 5 years experience of Purchasing within the Construction / Engineering / Process Industry. Excellent negotiation skills. Good communicator at all levels. Good knowledge of Commercial law and Contract Conditions. Member of the C.I.P.S. is preferable although would consider other professional organisation supported by relevant experience.
Based Barrhead, Scotland. Salary 26-28K region. |
