Applications Engineer Home Based The Position This role involves working closely with the sales force to apply and develop motion control solutions to key OEM's, strategic end users and technology partners. This role is pivotal in the development of the UK general motion control business and a dynamic individual is required to assist in achieving our aggressive business goals over the coming years. Key areas of responsibility are: Assist the sales teams in developing motion control opportunities with current and potential customers. Have an in-depth understanding of the applications, needs and relevant issues in the general motion control market in order to select the correct technical solutions to meet the customer's requirements. Develop a full understanding of the products in order to offer our customers the most appropriate technical and commercial solution. Deliver presentations, demonstrations and trials, proposals, application engineering and an element of technical support etc. Close liaison with colleagues in applications and product management to ensure appropriate support. Work closely with customers in developing software and hardware solutions to meet the needs of today's high performance machines. The Person This is a challenging opportunity that requires knowledge of the dynamics of the OEM market place, applications and solutions, based on motion control but utilising the full range of products including PLCs, HMI, Networks, LV Control etc. Preferably qualified to Degree level but with minimum HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, we are looking for suitably qualified personnel who have either a strong applications background or appropriate technical knowledge within the motion control field. Experience in the application of motion control and automation products would be a distinct advantage. Good presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with an organisation are essential. Candidates must be team players and be able to work in a fast moving environment and quickly make a positive impact in the business.
