Job Title of position - DCS Configuration Engineer (Batch).
Location - Cheshire.
Length of contract – 6 months – reviews after 1 month and 3 months.
Required by – start of January 2006.
Special Requirements / Training:
The applicant should be fully conversant with DCS configuration and have experience of DCS batch with recipe and Unit Operation writing skills. This would preferable be using Yokogawa CS3000 DCS systems and SEBOL, but applicants with other manufacturers DCS and batch experience, with Visual Basic will be considered.
Qualifications needed:
5 years plus experience in DCS batch control.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To produce the Functional Design Specifications for the DCS system as defined in the project URS To produce detailed design specifications from the user I/O lists and sequence specification documents. To implement the detailed design, by producing functional drawings (using engineering building tools), to implement the DCS control system functions. This includes all regulatory control, interlock sequences and Unit Instrument function blocks To produce Batch Recipes and Unit Operations for these recipes using the CS3000 batch management system, and the engineering builders. The unit operations will meet the customer requirements as detailed in the complex control narratives and / or flow charts and sequence descriptions.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential: Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Computing or Process Control.
Desirable: Further qualifications in Computing, Quality, Validation.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential: 2 years batch process control engineering experience 5 years DCS configuration in process control systems. Proficiency in a high level object based computer language e.g. Visual Basic, C++.
Desirable: CS3000 batch and SEBOL programming language. |
