This company is looking for a Contract PLC Software Engineer to work on various Oil and Gas projects.
The contract will be initially 3-6 months, but with the current workload, it is likely to be extended.
Experience: Knowledge of control and safety system applications and integration for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
Experience of control system design throughout the project lifecycle from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support.
Software design experience of control systems with PLC (Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc or Siemens), HMI (Cimplicity, InTouch or Plantscape) or DCS (Honeywell, Yokagawa or Delta V) based platforms. Experience of third party systems integration. Knowledge of communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet or Genius).
Hardware design experience relating to control system equipment (panels, control desks and control rooms) and integration of other manufacturers equipment. Hazardous Area Design and specification / selection of F&G equipment.
Demonstrable evidence of similar work performed to a competent standard over a period of at least 3 years.
Qualifications: A Degree/HND or similar qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. Member of a Professional Engineering Body (e.g. IEE), or actively seeking membership. |
