Scope of Activities:
Reporting to the Pipeline Lead Engineer. Serve as Offshore Pipeline Engineer on assigned projects or project areas. Provide offshore pipeline technical design and analysis, MTO`s, assist in drawings preparation, develop specifications. Provide guidance / supervision to CAD assigned to them. Assist Lead Engineer to achieve work quality, cost and schedule. Work and interface with other disciplines as required for successful technical and economic completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities: Carrying out pipeline front end studies, feasibility design, and detail design. Carrying out offshore pipeline design calculations (wall thickness, stress analysis, expansion, flotation, upheaval buckling, crossings design, pipeline protection, trenching, stability, spans, shore approaches, installation analysis, risers).
Carrying out offshore pipeline MTO`s, drawings (alignment sheets, typicals, etc). Carrying out offshore pipeline specifications (construction, materials, CP). Carrying out pipeline material procurement. Assisting pipeline lead engineer. Co-operate with Client, third parties and project disciplines Proven Experience. Minimum 2 years experience in Engineering and Design in Offshore Pipeline Engineering. Understanding of UK, European, and US pipeline codes (minimum). Experience in pipeline design analysis, including analysis software.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum BSc qualification from recognised University. Chartered Status (if achieved). Decision making skills. Flexible regards work and time. Knowledge of analysis software. Willingness to travel. Excellent report writing skills. Excellent communication skills. |
