Design and develop GaAs based products for the merchant market.
Design, test and evaluate new products on the GaAs MMIC processes.
Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
Provide applications support for Sales and Marketing.
Become familiar with foundry processes and design rules.
Design, model and simulate MMIC structures including packaging, to meet customer requirements.
Perform detailed investigation of small and large-signal circuit behaviour.
Undertake rigorous characterisation of MMIC designs (small-signal, large-signal and DC).
Evaluate product performance against customer specifications and investigate and rectify any deviations from requirements.
Liaise with existing business groups to understand their needs and support the development of internal products.
Work with external customers to ensure effective product development.
Provide applications engineering support to customers when necessary.
Experience Required:
2+ years experience in a Microwave Product Development environment
Good appreciation of microwave circuit design and test.
Knowledge of microwave design software.
Good literacy and mathematical skills.
Ability to work in a team.
Good communication skills.
Ability to liaise with internal and external customers.
Academic Requirements
B.Eng Class 2:1 in a relevant subject
