Systems Engineer
Location: Midlands
Role:
They are looking to recruit a Systems Engineer to Work with a major OEM on the development of next generation active safety systems. This position will be based at their customer site in the midlands.
Technical Skills required:
Essential: 2 years + experience of
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with experience of development and testing in an automotive environment
• Experience of Algorithm modelling in MATLAB / SIMULINK
Advantageous:
• An appreciation of project management and project delivery
• Test track exeperience
• Experience of dynamic braking systems, handling systems or saftey systems such as airbags and seat belts
Personal skills required:
As this role is based at our customer site, the successful candidate will need to have a ‘can-do’ attitude with enthusiasm and commitment to the team. You will be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will need to have the confidence to work on individual tasks as well as team projects.
Successful candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to liaise with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the business.
Industry Background:
Ideally the successful candidate will be from an automotive background and will also have a good class honours degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics, or a related discipline, or relevant commercial experience.
