To ensure the consistency and accuracy of hardware design, instrument specification and procurement documentation, inclusive of compliance with Customer/ Company quality and regulatory specifications. To support Team leader and Project Management within budget constraints. To act as technical authority and quality reviewer and tester for Instrumentation.
Co-ordinate hardware / instrument specification and buying. Support Design Reviews. Technical responsibility for hardware / instrumentation specification and inspection. Intrinsic Safety Calculations & ATEX directive observance. To produce mechanical & electrical AutoCAD drawings (for control and safety systems) from engineers sketches. To ensure consistency and accuracy of designs in consultation with project engineers and cabinet suppliers. Planning and control of allocated work within time and budget. System testing of instrumentation. Packing of instrumentation ensuring all certification, documentation and indexing is available. Support customer witness test. Support Sales team/management in development of proposals. Act as `specialist` for defined hardware / instrumentation. Visit to Customer / Vendor premises including short term assignments.
HNC in Instrumentation/ Mechanical / Electrical or Process Control required. Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position within a technically based industry. Teamwork, as part of a structured team in project business. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work, ATEX.
