To help and support the management and development of the Projects Group, and in that the responsibility for the delivery of the secured projects to time and budget. This includes complete responsibility and control of defined major projects.
Manage Projects to time and budget whilst assuring quality is met. Ensure that Projects are adequately resourced. Identifying the needs and requirements of customers, both current and new, and assist in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions. To assist the Sales Support Team with the production of technically and commercially acceptable proposals, tender documents and bid submissions. Commercial negotiation and responsibility for assisting the bid process. To participate as a member of the systems division team in the pursuit of its business activities. Co-ordination and participation with other companies in the pursuit of international business. Customer liaison and entertainment, as and when necessary, including participation at conferences, seminars or exhibitions. Ultimate responsibility for the technical and commercial output of dedicated Projects and in co-ordination with the Manager of Projects, the Projects Group in general.
Formal technical education in a related discipline. Recognised formal qualification in an engineering or process related subject.
Minimum of 10 years experience in industrial Systems. Proven track record in Managing Major Projects. Management of major software/application packages. Teamwork, and the building and managing of project teams. Understanding of computer integration, networking and MIS systems.
