This company is looking for a permanent Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer. The position will involve working as part of multi-disciplined project teams. You will be degree qualified with around 5 years experience obtained in a manufacturing environment, probably including a mixture of high volume production and defence (high technology processes).
You will strengthen their manufacturing capability so experience of supplier selection and managing manufacturing subcontractors would be a distinct advantage.
This post requires a breadth of manufacturing knowledge, with specific experience in PCB production processes, plastic moulding, castings, including DFM and DFMA.
Additionally it would be advantageous to have a mechanical engineering background with a working knowledge of some of the following areas:
Harsh environments (vibration and thermal issues).
vibration.
plastics.
metallurgy.
reliability and FMEA.
