Asst. Engineer/Sr. Technician: An enthusiastic Assistant Engineer is required to join the team working on prestigious highway related projects such as A5 Weeford to Fazeley Improvement and Route Management Strategies. Work will include feasibility studies, report writing, detailed design and contract preparation. To assist with workload and working under the guidance of senior engineers.
Relevant first degree or HNC or equivalent preferably in engineering is required. Ideally working towards chartered or incorporated status via recognised professional body.
Preferably two to three years experience in a consultancy, or local/central government working in either highways or transportation related works.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is required. Together with knowledge of Highways Agency documents - Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual of Contract Document for Highway Works.
Experience in Highways Agency Route Management Strategies is desirable. The position is located in Manchester.
