You would deliver mechanical and electrical engineering solutions to a major water industry client. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, these positions would suit an experienced mechanical or electrical engineer with in excess of four years experience in the water or related process industry.
As a mechanical and electrical systems project leader the main duties and responsibilities will be to contribute to the management and design of water and waste water schemes. This will include working in multi-disciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/C&I engineer`s. The candidate must be able to interact positively with senior and junior staff alike and within the client environment.
Candidates will be required to undertake feasibility studies and design of mechanical and electrical schemes. Typically, lime dosing system enhancements, flow control systems at water treatment works, pumping station refurbishment, general refurbishment, etc.
Candidates should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts mechanical and electrical engineering issues. Candidates will be expected to take on project management duties and be involved in the financial and commercial management and planning of projects. You will be expected to be progressive and imaginative in your work and strive to add value where possible for the benefit of the company and our clients.
Candidates should have a thorough appreciation of mechanical and electrical documentation and should be able to manage the production of technical and commercial specification documentation for tenders, prepare schedules of prices, engineer`s estimates and attend factory and site acceptance tests. The candidate will be required to supervise were necessary the work of more junior engineers and provide technical and professional guidance to assist their development.
The Candidate should be prepared to spend periods working away from base either in client offices, on project sites in the UK or overseas.
