Reporting to the UPS Project Manager, this company are looking to recruit a Projects Engineer whose experience encompasses knowledge of the UPS systems, together with a detailed understanding of the design/specification of LV switchboards.
Key areas of responsibility will be:
Contract handling including specifying LV switchboards and cable sizing. Produce UPS systems schematics & layouts drawings and O&M manuals to meet client requirements.
In conjunction with senior Managers negotiate with suppliers and release procurement budgets. Approve Supplier Invoices.
Produce cost, time, quality and customer relations project reports for contract review and attend regular contract review meetings.
Site supervision of installation contracts will be occasionally required.
Assist Project Manager to negotiate and agree final account.
Schedule and chair project close out meeting, produce close out report.
Assist sales with quotation estimates and UPS systems schematics and layout drawings, Risk Assessments & Method statements.
When required, serve as prime point of contact for customer and senior management, ensuring customer satisfaction within the constraints of the project.
Adopt HSE/QA procedures throughout the projects / contracts.
THE PERSON:
Suitable candidates will have a minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
Other essential skills include:
Enthusiastic and hard-working.
Able to work well on own initiative.
Excellent organisational skills, particularly with reference to project planning and cost control.
Extensive experience of MS-Word, MS-Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of MS-Access and MS Project would be an additional advantage. |
