My client has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Project Engineer.
The main functions and responsibilities will be to design and develop the hardware for new products and existing product improvements, involving: Design of analogue, digital and opto-electronic systems for new products. Development of low-level firmware for real time microprocessor based products using C and assembler. Feasibility studies on ideas for new product concepts. Producing circuit designs ensuring functionality and manufacturability. Prototyping the areas of electronic design. Liaising on PCB layout. Checking final PCB layout. Defining component specification and tolerance. Production support for initial stages of production of new products. Ensuring detail drawings and associated documentation is kept fully updated. Having responsibility for the design from concept to production
Academic Qualifications: Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering / Systems Engineering
Knowledge or skills: Experience in designing mixed analogue/ digital products. Experienced in programming in assembler / C. Experience of product design work for mass production. Ideally possess experience in the design of small Electro-mechanical / electronic products
