Job Specification:
A key member of the design team you will be responsible designing, implementing and supporting serial and Bluetooth product developments. The position involves:
-Responsibility for designing and modifying electronic designs.
-Schematic and PCB Layout Design using PC schematic and PCB tools.
-Collating and processing design manufacture data.
-Hardware approvals and supporting multi-functional team approval of products.
-Resolving technical and BOM issues and implementing change control forms.
-Implementing and maintaining design tool libraries.
-Reviewing designs.
-Supporting and advising on processes and procedures including departmental Intranet.
-Supporting our externally recognised quality standards e.g. ISO9001, IIP, Product certification.
-Other similar duties as agreed with supervisor.
Person Specification:
-You will be a graduate engineer with at least a 2ii degree or HNC/HND in physics or electronic engineering related discipline.
-You will ideally have some experience in the following fields:
Digital and Analogue Electronic Engineering, Personal Computing / Microsoft Office, Serial communications, Ethernet Data Networking, Wireless Bluetooth communications, VHDL / Verilog, Programming in C or C++.
-Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
-Attention to detail is a MUST.
