THE ROLE:
To undertake detailed diagnostic investigation of PCB`s and repair in accordance with Workshop Codes of Practice.
To participate in a wide variety of improvement activities to reduce test times, increase test coverage and identify and classify failure modes.
To maintain and develop test equipment and methods.
Test system repair / maintenance / improvement.
Product fails repair / fault reporting.
New product / test system / software introduction / development.
Requirements from production (product / process improvements).
Requirements from engineering (test system upgrades/modifications).
Training new repair staff / operators.
Present/ feedback detailed fault reports to Engineers/Managements/Other Repair Staff.
Candidates will require:
A good knowledge of PCBs
Be qualified to minimum HNC or equivalent level in Electrical Engineering
Have broad technical knowledge and excellent diagnostic skills
Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
Excellent PC skills
A professional approach to their duties which will involve contact with internal/external customers
Working rota of shifts: 37.5 hrs per week: 6-2 / 2-10 |
