The company is seeking a Senior Technical Software Project Manager who is capable of managing technically complex software projects from concept through to delivery and maintenance. Working closely with cross functional teams including development, test, support and sub contractors, the position reports to the Director of Research and Development and requires some international travel.
Principal responsibilities
-Ensure projects are delivered to the agreed quality, delivery date and cost targets
-Develop, communicate and maintain project related documentation and information
-Provide communication and liaison between cross-functional teams and organizations, third party suppliers and OEM integration management
-Involvement in technical reviews and problem solving activities
-Producing technical documentation defining SDK APIs and production of appropriate example code as required.
Essential skills and experience
-Minimum of 5 years experience in software project management gained in one or more of the following products and technologies: digital document management, digital publishing, printer driver development, digital printing
-Knowledge / exposure to all aspects of software product development life cycle and processes
-Strong software project management skills
-Strong communication and presentation skills
-Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Desirable skills
-Experience with PDF related products and the associated technologies
-Knowledge of and exposure to at least one of the following PDLs: the Postscript language, PDF, PCL, XPS or XHTML
-Experience with a PDL interpreter
-Software design and development skills using one or more of the following languages : VC++, C++, C on Windows or Mac OSX platforms
-Knowledge or exposure to software quality assurance standards and processes
-Knowledge or exposure to a project management methodology. |
