Hardware Design with VHDL/FPGA Programming
This role involves the design and implementation of baseband solutions
The candidate must have a good understanding of digital communications, signal
processing and general programming techniques, ideally already familiar with the
VHDL programming language.
- Thorough knowledge of Digital system and circuit design.
- Thorough knowledge of FPGAs
- Experience in analogue design.
- Must be able to communicate well both spoken and through written reports
Minimum Qualifications and years of Experience:
Essential:
2 years+ experience of complex high speed digital electronics
Good electrical/electronics degree
Desirable:
Comms industry background
Highly desirable:
UMTS / GSM / 3G experience highly desirable
Specialist Technical Background:
Essential:
Good electronics based degree
Desirable:
Has designed and implemented a VHDL block design from a specification
Highly desirable:
Has designed a (PCB) board in the high MHz range
Has been involved with testing/working in the lab. Is experienced with the use of digital logic analysers and other lab equipment.
