My client currently have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Engineer to join the team. The job role is diverse and involves dealing with customers but is primarily focused to the engineering and design of specialized explosion proof and intrinsically safe systems and assemblies.
Other duties include; Preparation of quotations for systems and solutions. Preparation of drawings using CAD and preparing project specifications. Design of enclosures, electrical systems or assemblies to R&D department specifications. Planning of product and systems manufacture. Technical support, commissioning and test.
Candidates Attributes: You should have design experience with the Electrical industry. Any experience within the electronics/mechanical industries is desirable. You will be a career minded person who has experience in electrical and/or electronic design. You will be proficient with AutoCAD or similar and Microsoft Office. Experience of Intrinsically Safe and Explosion Proof equipment is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Self-motivation, ambition, strong personality, good communication and organizational skills required.
