The Company has been a leading manufacturer of thermostats, safety cut-outs and other sensing devices for the electrical, automotive and domestic appliance industries throughout the world for over 60 years.
Due to increased workload, they have an opportunity to join their Engineering team in a role supporting development Engineers and working on a variety of components and component assemblies.
A mechanical engineering craft apprenticeship would be the ideal background for this role or comparable toolmaking experience.
The role requires good communication skills and a disciplined and self-motivated approach. Experience of CAD/CAM would be an advantage, although not essential.
The main duties involve the ability to:
Manufacture test jigs and fixtures to make prototype parts to drawings and sketches.
Produce prototype test and inspection equipment, jigs and fixtures.
Modify existing products for test and evaluation.
Manufacture small mould tools
