My client are currently seeking a PLC/SCADA engineer to work on projects from conception through to commissioning. Qualified to HNC (or equivalent) or above in a relevant engineering discipline, candidates should have a proven record in Allen Bradley or Siemens S7 and a recognised SCADA system. Knowledge of Water Treatment or Process Control is preferred, but must nevertheless be able to understand electrical and process engineering drawings. Other requirements include a thorough working knowledge of MS Office packages, good attention to detail, able to work as part of a team but with minimal supervision, and must have excellent written and oral communication skills. This role involves the individual in spending up to one third of their working time each year at site, and so the individual must be willing to travel and work away from home, sometimes for several weeks at a time. |
