At present my client has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Shop Support Technician to join the team. You will be involved in:
Producing CNC Programmes for all machining activities on site.
The design of tooling and methoding for various manual and CNC machines.
Responsible for the day to day management and purchasing of tooling / carbide.
To establish accurate cycle times from all work centres.
Create routes and times on IBS.
Review and improve methods / CNC programmes.
Investigate inefficiencies within the whole of the machine shop under the direction of the Production Manager and liasing with the Machine Shop Team Leaders.
Supporting all machinists with queries on programmes / methods/ tooling etc.
Modifying CNC programmes in line with any design changes.
Ensuring best practice and continuous improvement methods are adapted within the machine shop.
