POSITION: Xilinx FPGA Firmware Engineer
This is a demanding role which requires an innovative and self motivated engineer.
Working alongside the hardware and software engineers in the product development team, the firmware engineers are directly involved in product specification and design. Candidates should have relevant industrial experience and have very strong FPGA firmware programming skills using VHDL. Experience with Xilinx FPGAs as opposed to Altera FPGAs or ASICs is essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate their experience of VHDL project specification and development, test bench development, scripting experience, communications tools implemented in VHDL, Matlab Simulink, SystemC and C/C++ understanding. Candidates will be unlikely to write any software (C/C++), but having an understanding/experience in software programming will be useful. Also of benefit would be experience in any of the following areas: high speed (>100Mhz) digital logic design, 1-10GHz SERDES design, PCI/VME bus design, PowerPC design, voltage regulation. |
