Preferred Qualifications/Attributes/Experience:
HND / HNC in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Detailed technical and application knowledge of all relevant products.
Detailed knowledge of lifting equipment legislation and design standards.
Main Job Objectives:
Assist the Section Leader with development of the Design department Mechanical Engineering activities in line with the New Business Plan.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide suitable, efficient and economical designs to meet customers requirements as indicated on the Design input specifications.
Provide designs that meet all relevant legislation and design standards.
Provide designs based on current design work instructions.
Monitor work against quoted material and design hours.
Assist with development of New Business processes in line with the company`s ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.
Communicate with all relevant departments to ensure that procurement, manufacture and delivery deadlines are met or improved.
General Responsibilities:
Actively contribute to the creation and maintenance of high morale and motivation both within the area of allocated responsibility and generally across the company. |
